Cut Out Inukshuk Earrings J-64

Native Canadian jewelry earrings handcrafted in these remarkable Native Inukshuk earrings offered by Copper Reflections. The Inukshuk was thought of as a direction marker on the vast, featureless tundra of the Arctic but it was used by the Inuit to help in hunting Caribou. From a distance these cairns resembled a human form. After a successful hunt, a new Inukshuk was erected to mark a cache of excess dried meat to be hoarded for future lean times for the Inuit people.
